Draw a rectangular mesh region

  1. Click the Create Rectangular Mat Boundary tool in the Select toolbar. The mouse pointer changes to the Rectangle tool pointer.
  2. Click the first vertex of the rectangle and hold down the left mouse button.
Tip: Only linear or radial grid points may be selected.
A rectangle is "rubber banded" to the initial point from your mouse pointer. This indicates the potential new region edge for the subsequent point.
  3. Drag the mouse diagonally to the furthest corner of the rectangle.
  4. Release the mouse button over the second point.
